Investing in your employee’s health can ensure a stronger, healthier bottom line. Healthy employees mean a healthier, happier, more productive workplace and taking this essence forward TRRAIN organized a free health camp for the retail employees in partnership with Seven Hills Hospital.
R City,Ghatkopar was the first stop in this journey. The camp saw more than 200 people participate, from retail associates across various retail formats of the mall to housekeeping and mall staff. A dedicated team of doctor, nurses and medical executives not only checked their Body Mass Index, Blood Pressure and Random Blood Sugar for diabetes but also gave them free consultation. There was a separate unit where a doctor could recommend a person to get his heart checked through ECG, in case the former thought it necessary.
These free health check-up was just a step forward towards building a healthy employee environment and forging new retail relationships. Seven Hills also distributed Eeasy Card for free to all the participants. These cards, which normally comes for a fees allows the members priority admittance, discounts on diagnostics and investigations, wellness packages and medication, downloadable reports of medicine and health interactions with experts at Seven Hills Hospital.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Savio Cardoz, Senior Operations Manager, R-City Ghatkopar said, “We highly appreciate the association with TRRAIN, not only for the health Camp, but also for the educational program that was conducted for R-City. It is a very good initiative, one that would certainly reap benefits for the tenants and R-city in the future. We would certainly be looking forward to more such trainings and health camps in future. Would also like to congratulate and wish TRRAIN, the very best for the future."

"Talking has become easy with all supervisors and customers. The main thing was that the training was very interesting and there were a lot of interactive games and study activities which have been very useful for my own personal growth. I also thank mall to give us this opportunity"- Pradeep Kadam (Security Guard at G4S security).
And addressing this need of the hour, TRRAIN Foundation in partnership with R City Mall, Ghatkopar, organized a workshop for the retailers on the importance of “Education and Training”. The workshop saw the participation of more than 30 members that comprised of a vibrant mix of Retail associates & Store managers.
The session stressed upon the changing scenario in the retail industry and how important has customer experience become to drive sales. It also emphasized on the fact that a timely and continuous updation of skills and knowledge was imperative, not only for the store managers and top management but for the retail associate who are the face of any retail brand. Such training will not only help an associate grow professionally but also personally.
Last month witnessed trainees across our various Pankh centres spreading their wings and flying towards their dreams. Not only did the 67 trainees made us proud by showing their true spirit and dedication towards life but we were happy to see new partnerships being forged and retailers coming forward to encourage these students.
The 1st batch of Pankh Tech Smart Centre graduated with flying colours on 28th May, 2014 with all 30 deaf trainees getting placed with retailers like Max Fashion, HyperCity, Timezone, Reliance, Star Bazar, Lifestyle. Max fashion, who recruited for the first time in the west, was so impressed by the quality of trainees that they now want to hire 10 more candidates for their various stores across Mumbai.
